|
MyMobiGuard also activates itself automatically –
this is in the case when your phone has been stolen
and somebody changed the SIM card. |
Examples:
There are many
ways you can use MyMobiGuard in your everyday life:
|
 |
1. DIRECTLY
Let’s say
you’re at a noisy restaurant with a friend of yours and her
phone battery died and she asks you if she can borrow your
phone because she really needs to make a phone call. Since
it is noisy in the restaurant, she wants to go outside to
make the phone call, which makes you a little uncomfortable
because she might be get tempted to snoop through your phone
before giving it back to you – you never know… So, with
MyMobiGuard before you give her the phone, you enter in the
command to HIDE all content of your phone (#6666 “Dial” key)
so that by the time she borrows your phone, it is completely
blank and doesn’t show any of your contacts, sms’s you just
received or sent, who you just called, or photos you have
stored on your phone. This is a similar function to the way
you would log-out of your computer and log somebody in as a
“guest” if they wanted to borrow your laptop.
2. REMOTELY
Let’s say you
rushed off to a meeting across town and by the time you
reached the meeting, you realized that you forgot your phone
on top of your desk back at the office. You know it is safe
and that nobody is going to steal it, but maybe, just maybe
your colleagues might get nosy and feel tempted to browse
through who your contacts are, what your sms’s say, or look
through your pictures, which you wouldn’t really be very
comfortable with. So, at the meeting, you simply ask
somebody if you can borrow their phone to send a sms. You
then send an sms to your phone with the command to hide the
content or fully lock the phone. That way, you have the
peace of mind that nobody can go through the content of your
phone.
But when your
phone is stolen, you now have a way to continue
communicating with your phone!
3.
AUTOMATICALLY
Let’s say
you’ve lost your phone somewhere or you fear it has been
stolen. Normally you would call and call and call, and as
long as there was a ringtone, you’d be hopeful that maybe
somebody would find it or be kind and call you. Then
suddenly it stops ringing and that terrible sound comes on
that the phone is either switched off or outside the
coverage area… Well, with MyMobiGuard you now have a way to
make your phone communicate with you after it has been
stolen! The first thing a thief would do if he/she steals
your phone is to change the sim card. MyMobiGuard would then
automatically send three sms’s to the secondary numbers you
chose upon installation (your mother’s, husband’s or
neighbor’s number) and those sms’s would give you crucial
information about the thief of your phone. The sms’s from
MyMobiGuard contain the new SIM number, the operator, the
cell id, and the country your phone is in. Also, to the
thief’s surprise, MyMobiGuard would immediately lock the
phone, hide the contents of the phone and the memory card,
and display a message to call your secondary numbers to
return the phone to you. |
